Miss Peter's body was found buried in the garden in Canterbury. Once again Terry's name was in the newspapers. But this time Sheila's name was there too. In an interview with a reporter, Terry said that it was Sheila who had given him the idea which made him go to Canterbury.

Nancy Roberts was now much better. Sheila and Terry found her sitting up in a chair when they went to visit her in hospital.

Nancy was horrified when Terry told her what he had discovered. She now knew what Jones had been planning to do to her. If Terry and Sheila had not investigated 12 Oakwood Avenue, she would now be in a grave in the garden.

'But if Miss Peters was dead before he married me, then I am still Jones wife,' Nancy said, with horror in her voice.

" don't think you are married to Henry Jones,' said Terry. I found out something interesting when I was in Brighton. I went to the hotel where Isobel Jones had stayed. There was no Miss Isobel Jones in the hotel register. But there was a Mrs Isobel Jones. I don't think she is Jones' sister. I think she is his wife! I've told the police.
I'm sure they'll find out that they are husband and wife.'

The trial of Henry Jones and his wife Isobel was front page news.
